By-Law to Regulate & Govern Pesticide Applicators

Town of Markham passed by-law 2007-146 to regulate the non-essential use of pesticides on public and private properties. Applicators will be licensed, regulated and govern the business of pesticide applicators in the interest of health and safety, consumer protection and public nuisance. Strict fines have been set to impose on any individual or corporation. Corporations who violate this law will pay a max fine of $ 50,000.00 an individuals a max fine of $ 25,000.00. That’s another step to a green and cleaner Markham!
